Sónia is a Science and Technology Manager and Communicator at Oceanic Observatory of Madeira (OOM) and a post-doctoral researcher at MARE. She has a PhD degree in Biology (Ecology) from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, where she focused in estuarine ecology and ecotoxicology. Nowadays, Sónia focuses her work on ocean literacy and science communication.
